Doula:
Birth Doulas are trained and experienced in childbirth, although they may, or may not have given birth themselves. They have a good awareness of female physiology.
The Doula does not support the mother in a clinical way – that is the role of the midwife – the Doula is employed by the parents to give emotional and practical support both before, during and after childbirth.
A Doula enables a woman to have a most satisfying and empowering time during pregnancy, birth and in the early days as a new mother.
Fees: By private contract and negotiation
